Dumpton has a rich history, being founded in 1903 in Broadstairs, Kent as a boys' preparatory boarding school. The school's pupils were evacuated to Dorset during the Second World War, and the school itself was moved to Cranborne Chase in 1945. After a spell at Gaunt's House just north of Wimborne, the school finally took situ at Deans Grove in 1988. By this time the school had added a Pre- Prep and become co-educational, and it soon became a thriving day school. The school has gone from strength to strength, growing in size to over 300 pupils, and significantly developing the facilities on site, including, most recently, new Science Laboratories, a new Performing Arts Centre, and a brand new state of the art Sports Hall.
We are always delighted to hear from our Old Dumptonian alumni, and invite as many as possible to school events and reunions.
